They came (hopefully hard)... they saw... they conquered. Here are the results of the 2012 TLA GAY AWARDS. For the third time in as many years, TLAgay.com gave the porn loving public the chance to pick their favorites from the past year, and whoo-boy they didn't disappoint - thousands and thousands of votes were cast. Bitch, moan, and kvetch all you want naysayers – purchased porn is still going strong.

Several races were too close to call up until the final hours of voting, while others were practically landslides. Highlights: Donny Wright is now the TLA GAY AWARDS' porn star equivalent of Tom Hanks, winning a kudo for the second time in a row. (Last year for "Favorite Newcomer;" this year the hung cutie wears the "Performer of the Year" crown.) Ripped all-around nice-guy (and former TLAgay.com catalog cover model) Marc Dylan handily took the "Favorite Newcomer" nod; Bel Ami's Lukas Ridgeston surprised by nabbing "Director of the Year" honors; and once again the tightest race was for "Twitter-Maniac," with Brent Corrigan aka Sean Paul Lockhart taking the prize in the end. (Pun intended.)

We were surprised to receive a few complaints regarding the "TLA Choice" - the award our staff bestows upon those we think deserve it. This year's category was "Lamest and Limpest (P)Rick" - and who else could we possibly give it to other than former Pennsylvania Senator, former Presidential candidate, and current hateful douchebag extraordinaire Rick Santorum. (The five of you we offended might want to take a few minutes to read up on the asshole – he despises you and wants you flushed.)

Selections for each category were submitted by our staff, with the final list of nominees determined by overall vote-getters in each category. To be eligible, films needed to have been commercially released for sale in 2011. For performer categories, we took into account popularity based on sales figures, press received, customer inquiries, and/or our own libidos. The "Twitter-Maniac" nod is for those involved in the world of gay porn that entertained us this past year with thoughts, witticisms, rants, meltdowns, or pretty pics of their dicks - or they just tweeted so fucking much it was impossible to ignore them. All winners and runner-ups were chosen by you - our customers, the fans, and the public at large - via online voting.
