Synopsis

Strangely erotic to me, a complete pacifist, Bededezwigen is potent stuff. These 20 short films, in two volumes made anonymously, each feature just two men. One man punches the other; sometimes with boxing gloves, sometimes bare-fisted. The violence is brutal, consensual and fucking hot. The films have art film trappings such as great original scores and they have been shot with immaculate care. Most of the films have been processed to achieve a certain feel - perhaps a time and place in the past. The men, you ask, what about the men? In each film it seems like one of the men, usually the man doing the punching is very, very buff, and the human punching bag is more of a regular guy. All of the men are shirtless, most are wearing shorts, some are in underwear. Bededezwigen was a guilty pleasure for us, we didn't want our partner to know about it - who knows what he'd do.
