Review

Three short films from San Francisco independent filmmaker Wallin: Black Sheep Boy (1995, 35 min) is a voyeuristic self-reflective short centering on the pleasures and pitfalls of being attracted to much younger men. Fortyish Wallin films a series of young men (many of whom were enticed by Wallin from the streets) in erotic poses -- an alluring portrait of the fantasizer and the fantasized. Decodings (1988, 15 min) is a more abstract, non-gay experimental film about the search of identity from the documents of collective memory.
