Possibly the most idiosyncratic filmmaker to ever achieve popular success, David Lynch manages to maintain his singular style throughout his various genres. His work ranges from the early fever–dream of Eraserhead to the sci-fi of Dune and from the soap of Twin Peaks to comedy both absurdist (Dumbland) and droll (weather reports from that most mundane of weather cities, L.A., posted daily on his website). Lynch was also kind enough to give TLA a shout–out on our 10th anniversary, letting us sell his Eraserhead and short film collections before anyone else.
