I guess because the idea is so simple – men like both to be fucked and have their prostate probed – that so many toy manufacturers make anal toys. And based on our own sales figures, you guys are eating them up…so to speak.

And because there are so many dongs, star cocks, vibrators and probes on the market today, a savvy gay consumer interested in getting his or his boyfriend’s ass ploughed, has a tough time deciding which toy is cool and does the job and which one blows (you know, in the bad way).

This brings me to Tantus’ new Platinum Silicone. Tantus is a primarily straight toy manufacturer and their foray into toys for guys – Mikey O2 and Mark O2 - are over-priced (do they think all anally-fixated gay men have loads of money to throw around?) and not all that great quality-wise. So I approached the toy with some trepidation.

First thought: no where on the package does it say it is a prostate probe or dong – just “100% ultra-Premium Platinum Silicone” Silicone what? This could be hanging in a Home Depot and people would both not be offended and have no idea what it was for. [I eventually found its name from Tantus…G-Force] WHAT! Is this a toy for girls? Well, my pants are off, my chubby is on the rise, I’ve got the lube nearby – damn, it looks like a P spot probe so I am going to test it! And what I found was kind of nice and quite effective for guys.

The dong was black in color with a really grippable handle, maybe 5 inches of a thin very flexible shaft and toped off with a bulbous tip meant to seek out and massage the prostate. My initial doubts melted away as I lube both it and myself and got to anal prostate work. It was comfortable (especially good for anal novices) and effective! It hit my p-spot like a duck to water and it helped produce an especially intense cum.

You may have fooled me Tantus, but I am a happy camper.
