Synopsis

A plastic surgeon (Albert Finney) gets suspicious when models he has operated on begin to die in mysterious ways. With the help of Cindy (Susan Dey), the next in line to be killed, he traces the deaths to a mysterious corporation which develops new technologies. Review

From the creator of Coma and Westworld comes this sci-fi satire about beautiful models who are murdered and then reconstituted by a computer hoping to produce the perfect spokesperson. (No, this is not the Vanna White story.) With Dey as the model out for vengeance, Finney as the plastic surgeon going out of business and Coburn as a malevolent C.E.O., this ridiculous yet somehow absorbing medi-thriller manages to hold one's interest throughout.

And how can you not love a movie in which one panicked character screams at her plastic surgeon: "You have to change me back; I'm too perfect. They're killing all the models that are perfect!"

A campy, wind-machine-blown, very '80s flick.
