Charming, lovable and completely predictable, we loved this juicy bonbon of a film. Well-photographed in Martha's Vineyard, acted and directed with perfection, Patrik-Ian Polk's Noah's Arc: Jumping the Broom is a hit on all counts. And, yes we've seen this story before (3-Day Weekend, Love! Valour! Compassion!,) but not with Noah, Alex, Ricky and Chance....

Noah is marrying his longtime flame Wade, the formerly closeted screenwriter we met in Season One. To send them off, his buddies are throwing Noah a wonderful party at Wade's family vacation home on the gorgeous island of Martha's Vineyard. Deliciously femme Alex is whipping up a frenzy in the kitchen thanks to some mysterious pills. His boyfriend is at home minding their child and house. Slutty Ricky brings the cutest button of a date, who he abandons immediately in favor of a stranger in the shrubbery. Chance and Eddie are trying to work out the whole LTR/monogomy issue, with little success (or finesse). As if this is surprising, there is drama with each of these men that's guaranteed to keep your interest. Adding to fray there's a closeted rapper, a type-A movie exec and the police.

While you don't have to be a fan of "Noah's Arc" to enjoy this confection, it surely helps. If you do see the film and haven't seen the show, you'll be inspired to buy both sets. And we should mention that this film is far racier than the TV series ever was! As a long-time fan of the director, we're pleased to see Patrik moving back to film. Now if we could only get Punks on DVD, that would make our day. Lots of fun and completely charming, Noah's Arc: Jumping the Broom is a crowd-pleasing hit.

By now most of you have heard that there is a spin-off film from Logo’s hit serial “Noah’s Arc”. It does take a lot from the television series but it does stand on its own as well. It has everything that made the TV series so endearing and is just as much fun.
Noah and Wade invite their friends to Martha’s Vineyard to celebrate their wedding. We meet our friends from television as they come together in happiness. Chance and Eddie, however, are trying to work through their relationship issues. Alex takes charge to see that the wedding runs smoothly. They also try to maintain contact with their friend Trey. Ricky shows up with his new young trick (a student of Chance) and this causes a bit of drama. Baby Gat appears and things get even more complicated.
The whole business becomes crazy yet is also very sweet. The guys have grown a bit thespian-wise and they are at home in the media of cinema and they do a great job.
“Jumping the Broom” is light and it gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling and there are some very touching moments. Great it is not but it is enjoyable.

Noah's Arc: Jumping the Broom, picks up seamlessly where the TV series left off. It starts off slow, allowing those who did not see the LOGO series to catch up, and then moves full speed ahead. The dialogue is good, the script is strong, the acting is splendid. Director Patrick-Ian Polk uses a new character to ask many of the questions about roles and relationships that we have wondered about. The only downfall is that the movie makes me miss the series even more. Perhaps a sequel is on the horizon.

The only thing I can say about this is AWESOME!!!!!! My friends and I had movie night and we laughed, cried, screamed, and had such a wonderful time watching this movie!!!!! It is a MUST HAVE!!!!!! The only thing I wish for is a sequel or for the show to return back to Logo!!!! AWESOME...AWESOME....AWESOME....AWESOME!!!!!
