Synopsis

Three professional women have disappeared from a small New England town in a period of just 18 months. Sheriff Nickie Welles (Elise Rovinsky), who has learned that state budget cutbacks will soon eliminate her job, is determined to find out who's behind these terrible crimes. In an act of desperation, Nickie asks James Hart (Cuyle Carvin), a local psychic, to help solve this tragic mystery before her tenure comes to an end. However, Detective Sandra Franks (Julie Bell), Nickie's lover, believes James is a fake and that her girlfriend is in over her head. James has problems of his own. Troubled by a sleep disorder, he checks himself into a hospital where he meets an oversexed nurse who will become the next victim of these mysterious crimes. James suspects someone is out to frame him. Could it be Sandra? Ultimately their investigation will uncover a terrible secret that will bring Nickie, James and Sandra to the brink.

Review

Sheriff Nickie Welles is under the gun (literally and figuratively) to solve one last murder case before she has to quit the force due to budget cuts. With no leads, Nickie enlists James, a local psychic, to step in and help solve the mystery. Everyone in town believes psychic James is a huge fraud, except for Sheriff Nickie. You'd think Nickie would've gotten a clue, but she drags James around to different crime scenes and makes him do his dog and pony show in front of everyone. Well, everyone still believes he is a fraud and guess what? It turns out that he is. He just happens to be clever and have a keen eye for detail, and he admits halfway through the movie that he's a big ol' fakey fakerton. Nickie is upset for about five minutes, and then continues to take him around interviewing crime suspects. Let's leave you off here so that the mystery deepens!

I actually watched this with family and being straight and somewhat conservative (how dare you judge me! ;-) I found the treatment very empathetic and so tastefully done that every plot point including the romance and deep love between the two main characters came through effectively. I'd recommend this drama to anyone- Elise Strovinsky and Kyle Carvin (spelling?) were outstanding.

“Person of Interest” is a terrific thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Three professional women disappear mysteriously fro a New England town in the short period of eighteen months. Nickie Welles (Elsie Rovinsky) is the sheriff and she has just learned that state budget cuts will cause her to lose her job but this does not stop her from trying to find out what happened to these women. When no leads pan out for her, she, in desperation asks the town psychic, James Hart (Cuyle Carvin), to help her before her job ends. Nickie’s lover, detective Sandra Franks (Julie Bell) feels that James is just a fake and that Nickie has gotten in too deep.
James has his own problems. He is unable to sleep so he admits himself to a hospital and there he meets a nurse who becomes the next disappearance. James thinks that someone is trying to frame him and thinks it might be Sandra. What they eventually find is a terrible secret that almost pushes everyone over the edge.
` I challenge anyone to find out what is happening as they watch this movie. It will keep you guessing all the way through.
