Synopsis

24 Nights: The incredibly adorable Jonathan (Kevin Isola) has always believed in Santa, even despite his exasperated sister Marie's (Aida Turturro of The Sopranos) "lies" to the contrary. Now in his early twenties working in an NYC gay bookstore, Jonathan knows that despite a string of failed affairs he can, with a little help from Santa, still find that perfect man! Jonathan is not exactly a success in life - he works at a dead-end job, lives with this sister, smokes pot regularly and is a tad accident prone. But even with all that baggage, he's a total romantic who thinks he's found his present when he meets new co-worker Toby (David Burtka), a cute Southerner and winner of the local "wet underwear" contest. But if Toby really is his gift from Santa, why is he exploding like a party animal all over the New York scene and why has he brought his childhood sweetheart Keith (Stephen Mailer) along with him? As the shopping days count down to Christmas, Jonathan discovers that Santa doesn't always deliver what sexy gay boys want, he delivers what they deserve. A wonderful, sweet romantic comedy that should not only make the perfect Christmas gift, but year-round pleasure as well. The soundtrack features great music by gay "crooner" Rufus Wainwright, The Roches and Vicki Lawrence's seventies hit "The Nights the Lights Went Out in Georgia."

Make the Yuletide Gay: College senior, Olaf 'Gunn' Gunnunderson (Keith Jordan) is head-over-heels in love with his ultra-gay sweetheart Nathan Stanford (Adamo Ruggierro, out star of “Degrassi: The Next Generation”). The boyfriends part for Christmas break, each returning home to his family. Nathan’s cold parents won a trip to Israel, but somehow “forgot” to tell their son. When he hears that he’s to spend the holidays alone, he decides to make his way to Wisconsin to be with his sweetie and family. When he gets there, there are a few surprises: Gunn is in the closet; Gunn’s mom, Anya (Kelly Keaton) is a major Christmas freak who says “Dontcha” frequently; and Gunn takes after his dad Sven (Derek Long) — anatomically speaking — a fact learned when Gunn’s stoner dad greets Nathan at the door in an open bathrobe. With constant double-entendres flying from Anya’s mouth and Gunn Sr. always stoned, no one seems to notice that Gunn is gay and dating Nathan. With the closet walls closing in on Nathan, he decides to flee back to his empty home — the Gunnunderson’s are a little too fruity even for him! Giddily exuberant, Rob Williams’ latest is not only filled with laugh-out-loud jokes, but also with boys who look oh so cute together. Dontcha think?
