When The Harrad Experiment was made in 1973, coed dorms hadn't happened yet - and the sexual revolution was in full bloom. The concept of "free love" was bandied about and that's what Harrard is all about. Philip and Margaret Tenhausen (James Whitmore and Tippy Hedren) run a college where they teach the students nude yoga and life skills like swapping partners. In their first semester, Stanley (Don Johnson) and Sheila live next door to Harry (Bruno Kirby) and Beth. Stanley is the hottest thing on campus - before film's end he has sex with three girls and tries to seduce Margaret.

While the print of this film is pretty crummy - lots of inadvertent editing - it holds together thirty years later. The nude yoga class is hysterical - the nude swim session lots of fun. But really the best part of the film is Don Johnson's lovely body. He's no slouch in the genital size department, his demeanor is soft and sexy - even when he's wearing pants, his dick is clearly outlined and its quite a turn on. We loved this nostalgic one - as a wonderful film - as an artifact - and for the opportunity to see a young star, totally naked. Also of note is that young actor Gregory Harrison was an extra in the nude swim scene.
